Goals

We handled the development of the e-commerce site for La Teiera Eclettica tea, a historic store in Milan that sells loose teas, herbal teas, infusions and accessories combined with a tea room for on-site product tasting.

For this company Isola carried out the redesign of the e-commerce site. The objectives were:

  • renew the graphic design
  • Create a clear and accessible platform for all customers, including those who are less familiar with devices
  • Provide all the necessary information to the user to encourage purchase
  • Provide the user with apersonalized shopping experience
  • improveSEO indexing
  • Convey a sense of trust and authority of e-commerce.

Personalized tea e-commerce: for an enjoyable and affordable shopping experience for everyone

To improve the usability of the platform, we have analyzed the type of customers of the company, which is very diverse in both interests and age. To meet the goals we have:

  1. added microtexts to the most important icons to facilitate communication and make each action more immediate
  2. implemented the UX on the site, to simplify the user’s path to purchase
  3. created specific graphics for the different categories and subcategories so that the site is as clear and clean as possible
  4. made a filter structure (by type, origin, processing) to optimize customer product search
  5. customized templates for each product, offering tailored suggestions based on the preferences demonstrated by the client
  6. Set up e-commerce on the technical side to allow the automatic calculation of shipping costs based on the place of destination
  7. inserted specific plugins for filling in the customer’s personal data, billing request or sending a gift package
  8. revised each section of the site, refining it from an SEO perspective to reach a wider and more interested audience

SEO optimization to get found

The site tree and page structure were rethought from an SEO perspective. The copy of the main pages was also optimized, with a series of techniques based on users’ search intent.
